Uma Musume Twin Wafers vs Mini Character Collection 01

Two different Uma Musume blind buys

Bandai's Uma Musume Pretty Derby Twin Wafers and the Mini Character Collection 01 both arrive blind, but they satisfy different collecting habits. One is a snack-and-card pack with 30 card types; the other is a nine-design mini figure line. Your choice comes down to whether you want a quick card pull with a treat or a small figure to display, plus how much duplication you can tolerate.

Neither product lets you choose the design inside a single pack. The difference is in what you are collecting and how the set options change the math.

What one purchase actually gets you

Use this side-by-side to match the product to your collecting goal before you pick a pack size.

• Uma Musume Pretty Derby Twin Wafers (single pack): Includes 1 random card and 2 vanilla cream flavored wafers. The card series has 30 types in total, including new illustrations. A single pack is a low-cost way to add one card and a snack.
• Mini Character Collection 01 (blind box): One blind box gives you 1 random design from a 9-design line-up. It is a figure purchase rather than a card purchase, so the pull is a display item.
• Twin Wafers box set (20 pcs): The box set contains 20 packs and is listed with a 10% discount. That is 20 random cards and 40 wafers, which suits sharing or a bulk card pull.
• Mini Character Collection 01 full set: The full-set option is listed as 9 random designs with a 10% discount. The catalog also notes that duplicates may occur, so a full set is not a guaranteed complete 9-design set.

Twin Wafers: card pool and pack contents

• Bandai Uma Musume Pretty Derby Twin Wafers: Each pack includes 1 random card and 2 vanilla cream flavored wafers. The edible component makes this a different kind of purchase from a figure box; check the Best By note on the listing before buying multiple packs.

• Bandai Uma Musume Pretty Derby Twin Wafers: The card series has 30 types in total, including new illustrations. A 30-card pool means single packs are unlikely to complete a set quickly, while a 20-pack box gives more pulls but still may duplicate.

Mini Character Collection 01: figure line-up

• Uma Musume Pretty Derby Mini Character Collection 01: The line-up contains 9 designs, and one blind box gives 1 random design. The smaller design pool makes a single box a more focused pull than a 30-card pack, but the blind-box format still means you cannot choose the character.

• Uma Musume Pretty Derby Mini Character Collection 01: The full-set option is listed as 9 random designs with a 10% discount, and duplicates may occur. If your goal is a complete set, the full-set listing does not promise one of every design; treat duplicates as a real possibility.

The duplicate question

Both listings warn that duplicates can occur because of the manufacturer's production process. For Twin Wafers, duplicates mean extra cards to trade or stack; for Mini Character Collection 01, duplicates mean repeated figures on the shelf. If you dislike repeats, a single pack is the lower-risk test, while a box or full set is better for sharing or trading rather than chasing a guaranteed complete set.

A simple way to decide

Choose Twin Wafers if you want a low-cost pull that includes a snack and a card, or a 20-pack box for a group activity. Choose Mini Character Collection 01 if you want a small figure to display and prefer a nine-design pool over a thirty-card pool. If you are buying for a younger collector, check the age range and warnings on the product page first; the supplied records do not state an age rating for either item.
