Decide if Animal Crossing New Horizons Chara Magnet Series 2 fits your fridge or collection. We cover the 20 designs, duplicates, and when to buy a full box.
Quick answer
Buy single packs of Animal Crossing New Horizons Chara Magnet Series 2 if you want a low-cost surprise for a fridge or a small gift. Buy the 14-pack box only if you are collecting the set and accept that duplicates are still possible.
What you actually get in one pack
Each pack contains one random magnet, one piece of soda-flavored gum, and one memo card. The magnet is the main event; the gum and memo card are extras that make the pack feel like a small treat rather than a loose collectible.
Because the magnet is random, you cannot choose a specific character or design. That is the core trade-off: you pay a low price for a surprise, but you give up control over which of the 20 magnet designs you receive.
Duplicates and the full-box decision
The manufacturer states that duplicates may occur even in a full box. A box does not guarantee a complete set, so treat it as a bulk purchase for trading or gifting rather than a guaranteed shortcut to all 20 designs.
If your goal is to complete the set, buying singles from other collectors may be more reliable than opening box after box. If your goal is fun and volume, the box is the better value.
Decision rules for buying Series 2
- You want a specific character: Do not buy blind packs hoping for one design. The assortment is random and you cannot choose. Buy an open, specific magnet from a reseller instead. If a particular character is non-negotiable, skip blind bags entirely.
- You are buying for a child or a casual fan: Start with 1–3 single packs. The low price and the gum make it a fun small gift, and duplicates are less disappointing when the goal is surprise rather than a complete set. Set a pack limit before you buy so the surprise stays fun.
- You want to complete all 20 designs: Buy the 14-pack box only if you are comfortable with possible duplicates. The box does not guarantee a full set, so plan to trade duplicates or buy missing singles separately. Budget for a few extra singles if set completion is the goal.
- You are buying to resell or trade: The 14-pack box offers a 10% discount and gives you volume for trading. Check the current price against the catalog comparison price before committing. Compare the box price per pack to single-pack prices before you buy.
Product facts
- Animal Crossing New Horizons Chara Magnet Series 2: Each pack includes 1 random magnet, 1 piece of soda-flavored gum, and 1 memo card; there are 20 magnet designs and 10 memo card designs. The magnet is the collectible, but the memo card adds a second small surprise, so duplicates of the magnet may still come with a different memo card.
